Richard
Klimesh and Cherry Hill live in Colorado with their 7 horses,
2 dogs, and 2 cats. Richard studied architectural design at
Iowa State University, was an accomplished carpenter and cabinetmaker
for ten years, and has been a certified Journeyman Farrier
and artist/blacksmith since 1977. He has built and remodeled
horse facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada, and his articles
on the subject have appeared regularly in Western Horseman,
Horse & Rider, and other magazines. His wife, Cherry,
is an award-winning author of more than twenty books on horse
training and care. She has trained horses and judged horse
shows for over 30 years and spent ten years teaching university-level
equine courses in the U.S. and Canada. The couple co-authored
