Grassland management can be complicated and frustrating. Even with a small paddock there is either too much grass or too much ragwort. Field Management for Horses and Ponies shows you how to analyse your existing pasture in order to maximize the quantity and quality of your grazing. It gives practical advice on soil analysis, fertilizing, harrowing and ploughing, land drainage, fencing and problems such as weed infestation and poisonous plants. Anyone who wishes to improve their grazing and get the most out of their land - from the owner of one horse or pony who is kept on a small area of rented land to the riding school proprietor - will find the easy-to-understand advice given in this book invaluable.
